JOANNE LI
Joanne Li is a landscape designer and researcher whose work explores the visual and spatial representation of dynamic ecological processes and human-nonhuman cohabitation in urban environments. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, where she was awarded the Landscape Architecture Thesis Prize and served as a teaching assistant for core design studios and courses in representation and ecology. Joanne is also a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, where she received the Dean’s Research Fellowship.

Her design approach is rooted in exploring symbiotic relationships within the landscape, with a focus on sustainability and environmental systems. Joanne has gained professional experience at acclaimed practices including SCAPE Landscape Architecture in New York, Office PARKKIM in Seoul, and Turenscape in Beijing. Her innovative work has been recognized globally, winning awards such as the World Landscape Architecture International Competition and the University of Calgary Cities for All International Competition.

Through her practice and research, Joanne continues to push the boundaries of landscape design to imagine resilient, inclusive, and ecologically attuned urban futures.
